My crafty week

I have done a lot of crafting this week. I have made quite a few cards and other paper crafts for different occasions, and I have found such great joy in doing so.   A few of my favorites are the baby announcements and the cards for Spencer and Evalyn.

Mike's birthday invitation.  I hate to admit that I planned his party theme around this cute stamp set that I have.

Above: a "thinking of you" treat box and below a similar treat box your a cute young lady who helps us out a lot.

Cards for my neice and nephew who have a new baby sister.  I really like the new color combination I tried with Spencer's card.

Above is the baby announcement i made for my new niece, though ti has her info on it and not Liz's and I made the sample of a similar boy card too.  There is something about the simplicity of just two colors.

i made a bunch of these little cards for my friend who is in charge of the PTA Teacher Appreciation week at the school.  It was fun to sit down and stamp this weekend, and I even watched Anne of Green Gables.
Just a fun picture of our tulips outside.  This spring has been hard on them, but they sure are beautiful.
This is Brian's project.  The picture doesn't do it jusctice, and it has come a long way since this picture was done.  We will soon ahve beautiful flower beds with this lovely wall surrounding them.  A new fence on the left will finish it all off.  I am so excited, and so glad Brian has been able to enjoy working in the yard.

Liz's big day and Easter

I still can't believe that Liz is eight years old and ready to be baptized! It seems like just yesterday she was a little tiny thing being blessed by Brian at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I had her blessing dress out the other day and it was so tiny and cute. She couldn't believe that she ever wore it.

Liz was so excited, and didn't even seem too nervous about the water. She looked so beautiful in her white dress, and it was such a wonderful experience to see her and Brian all dressed in white. I was thinking as I sat behind them during the talks, that this is really a time for dads and their little girls. The mom just gets to watch and enjoy. What a wonderful time to reflect on the wonderful young lady she is and to think about the many wonderful times to come as she grows, and how she made a wonderful choice this day.

It was extremely special to have Aunt Michelle come from California and she gave a wonderful and perfect talk about baptism. And what fun to have Grandma and Grandpa here too.

Grandma and Grandpa Chantry came from Ogden.  They were so excited to see their oldest grandchild be baptized.  Liz also was lucky to have her three Chantry uncles there to help confirm her and to see her Chantry aunts too.  What fun to have these special six people share the day with us.

What a wonderful day, and what a special thing to be baptized at Easter time, especially as we reflect on the symbolism of the ordinance and about the wonderful blessings we receive through Christ's Atonement, death and especially His resurrection.  Happy Easter to all!
