Some favorite Fall pics

I have enjoyed this fall with Megan and Michael. WE walk to the school a couple of times a week to get Nathan and a kindergarten friend and we enjoy the nice weather and crunching leaves!

Halloween Preview 2007

So here we are at the Hallowienie party for our ward on Saturday. The kids loved getting into their costumes and having fun with their friends. Flight commander Chantry's costume was out of this world, while Liz preferred to be under the sea. Michael fought fires and Megan was sweet enough to eat. Though her tomato hat lasted only long enough for the pictures. Our picture with our new family member (Jack O'Lantern Chantry, Jack for short) is a bit blurry, but the kids love it. They were so proud to pick him out from amongst the masses of pumpkins at the store. He was a whopping 23 pounds!

Just a funny note. I am typing this and Nathan is looking over my shoulder reading every word. There is no hiding anything from my kids now that they can read. They are alls o smart!

Our girls

Here are some pictures of our girls. Liz has her reward for partricipating in the summer reading program for the Utah State Library for the Blind. She loves her large print Little House book. Megan is just showing off her new dress. The hat lasted about fifteen minutes. She smiled cute, then wanted to make the faces that everyone else was making to help her smile. She is such a ham! Liz has officially lost tooth #2, and boy it is traumatic. I can't believe we have eighteen more to go with her. HOpefully she will get more used to it as time goes on. I don't know if we will ever get used to her toothless grin.

Trucks, busses, elephants and crayons

So we have had two exciting days in a row. Yesterday Michael had two potty successes to make a total of five, which means he got to open his Mac truck from grandma. You can see how happy that made him! It is a lot cooler than it looked from the box and he is thrilled by the extra cars too!

Today the bus came. We still have a couple of quirks to work out, but I think this is a good sign.Liz and Nathan were thrilled to be riding the bus. And mom, here are some fun pictures for you of them climbing on!

Liz came home with the funniest song yesterday. It was "williby, wobbily Welizabeth. An elephant sat on Elizabeth!" You could change things around and sing it for everyone. When Brian got home from his bishopric meeting we sat him down and Nathan had his big stuffed elephant. The kids laughed and sang, "Williby, Wobbily Wian, an elephant at on Brian!' And during the last part Nathan threw his elephant at him. It was so funny. I was laughing so hard at the kids because they were laughing so hard and Brian was laughing at all of us. Liz was so cute teaching it to us and singing it with all of her classmates names.

Megan has discovered a love of coloring. She will sit at the table and shake the box of crayons until I open it for her. So far she is keeping her artwork on paper, and that makes us all very happy.

We love school!

First Day of School, first day of school

It was the first day of school and it wasn't just the kids who were excited! Liz actually started last week. She loves first grade and has adjusted well to the full day of school and eating lunch away from home. Tomorrow is pizza day and she is excited to buy lunch int he cafeteria. She is so grown up and has already helped her teacher talk to her class about her visiona dn why she has a special monocular.

Nathan loved kindergarten. Last week at his assessment he showed off his great talents and his confidence and he was eager to share all he did on his first day today. Mom didn't expect it, but she got a little teary eyed on the way to school this morning. I can't believe how grown up Nathan is!
