Graduation

So Brian has been officially done with his Masters' for a while. He defended his project in November, go the final stuff in a few weeks later and his diploma came in the mail in January. We got them (his Bachelors' and Masters' diplomas) framed for his birthday and he hung them downstairs, but being the sentimental wife that I am I really wanted him to walk in graduation. He attended BYU's commencement exercises at the Marriott Center on Thursday (I watched it on TV) and then he and I went to his convocation bright and early Friday morning. Thanks again Mom for watching the kids! None of my pictures turned out great. Strange expressions, tassel in front of the face, that kind of thing. But I am planning on saving my tutoring money to pay an arm or leg or both for the one taken by the professional.
I guess I lied. I got one really nice picture . . . of Brian's back. He is the one with the yellow hood on the left by the girl in blue.
Brian and the kids when we got home. Megan asked if she could graduate when she grows up!
Mike actually took this picture of Brian' and I. Good job Mike!
Brian with his diploma. He sure worked hard for that piece of paper.
The whole family.
Brian's brother got his Bachelors' from Weber State the same day Brian graduated. After we were done we went to Ogden to have a big family celebration.
Brian's Mom got a big cake. Half of the trim is in blue, half in purple. Brian's name is in blue, Scott's is in purple. There is a cougar for BYU and a wildcat for Weber. We ate on blue and purple plates. It was fun. Good job guys!

YIPEE!! The ceremonies are totally for the family. Dan didn't care about it either, but I'm with you, there is something about celebrating all their hard work!! I loved the cake. Totally awesome. (btw - loved the color of your blouse. It looks great on you!)
