Peanut free "Peanut Butter"

So it is actually called "SunButter" and is made from sun flower seeds. It has some relatively large text by the ingredients that makes sure we know it is processed in a peanut and tree nut free facility (Isn't that the point of something like this?) and my friend got some so we could give it a try today. Michael ate a bite and said he liked the taste, but didn't want anymore. Megan ate a few nibbles, but the best part is that it does not cause a reaction! I am excited to try it out on Nathan. He begs us for PB&J sandwiches and we still aren't comfortable with having it in the house, but this would satisfy everyone. It also stores well and would be a good addition to food storage. Thanks Rachel for helping us discover this.

Wahoo! Glad there was no reaction! Rachel is great at finding odd foods for family and friends. What would we do without her!

Isn't it SO fun that there are lots of products to replace those that we cannot have in our homes? I was so happy for you when I read this! Our favorite recent discovery is egg-free "egg noodles" - they're made with corn so they've got a better texture than regular noodles. Congrats!
